I consult, design solutions, and deliver projects within budget, to time and that deliver real business results. Oh, and I facilitate and train too.

I’ve been driven throughout my career to make a difference to peoples working lives. This stemmed from a curiosity and a sense of injustice as a child as I listened on the stairs to my parents talking each evening about their days at work. My mum, an administrator was bullied by her team leader and my dad a sales engineer brought his work home, literally! My siblings and I lived through the highs and deep lows of their careers. I wanted to understand why peoples working lives had such an impact on their home lives and what, if anything, could be done so they had better more fulfilling experiences at work in the hope that this would change their home lives for the better too. This ignited a passion in me to study human behaviour, and I’m privileged to have had a successful and fulfilling career centered around supporting behavioural change for the past 30 years.

Having worked in some well-known large learning and development consultancies over 25 years and for one I’m still proud to be associated with, I’ve been privileged to work with some of the world’s best-known brands developing their leaders, particularly in the energy and engineering sectors.

When Al and I started our consultancy, we decided that we wanted to bring our combined corporate experience with some wonderful customers to bring our insight and experience to small and medium firms in the sectors we love.

I describe myself as a learning and development specialist and instructional designer with over 30 years’ experience in facilitation and coaching. I’m a versatile practitioner, equally at home inspiring large groups as well as working more intimately as a challenging small group facilitator and 1:1 coach. My approach to leadership, team and people development works! From global organisations or SMEs, across industries and sectors, my straightforward approach delivers results. I’m excited to help individuals learn and grow; enabling others to have the skills and confidence to make a positive impact on the people, communities and organisations they work with.

As a manager for many years of a diverse group of colleagues I recognise that the happiest and most productive people are the ones who are able to be most authentic and bring their full selves to the workplace. I have seen that people bring the best version of themselves to work when they feel confident, valued and cared for. Combining this experience with my belief that learning and growth should be engaging, fun and challenging in equal measure I skillfully facilitate crucial conversations. Crucial conversations between a leader and team members, crucial conversations across functions and through hierarchies, crucial conversations to solve problems or to foster collaboration.

Oh, and I love to learn too… I’m really proud of the way I’ve adapted to virtual learning where I’m helping people shift their mindsets, practice their skills sets and build their tools sets.
